Bixby is a virtual assistant developed by Samsung Electronics.
On March 20, 2017, Samsung announced the voice-powered digital assistant named "Bixby". Bixby was introduced alongside the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ during the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event, which was held on March 29, 2017. Samsung officially unveiled Bixby a week before launch but it only made its first appearance during the event. Bixby can also be sideloaded on older Galaxy devices running Android Nougat. Bixby represents a major reboot for S Voice, Samsung's voice assistant app introduced in 2012 with the Galaxy S III.

The major problem with Bixby is that it is not difficult to press the Bixby button accidentally when picking up the Galaxy S8, leaving you to mash the virtual home button because you want Bixby Home to go away so that you can do what you were really going to do. You might also press the button by accident when trying to quickly turn the volume down because it’s located below the volume down button.
How to disable Bixby key?
1. Update Bixby from Galaxy app to the latest version (Ignore if already updated).
2. Press Bixby button to launch Bixby home.
3. The card at the top lets you toggle off the Bixby key.
